Featured Tour #1- Straub
Straub Brewery, located in tiny St. Marys in Pennsylvania's beautiful, rural
Allegheny National Forest, has managed to maintain a hometown, family feel in
an era when gigantic national breweries dominate the industry.
The Straub family has been brewing beer in Pennsylvania since 1872, and the
fourth generation of Straub now runs the brewery. The family touch is evident
throughout the tour, which takes you through the charming brewery.
The highlight of a visit to Straub Brewery is undoubtedly the Eternal Tap -
which, true to its name, offers a free brew or two to any visitors who stop
by. The only catch is that you'll be asked to wash your own glass.
