C.F. Martin began making quality guitars in 1833. Today, the family-owned company
that he began is still dedicated to handcrafting quality acoustic guitars, and
Martin Guitars are widely recognized as among the finest in the world!
A tour of the Martin Guitar factory offers a chance to watch these skilled
artisans at work, making these spectacular instruments. Most of the approximately
300 steps in making a Martin guitar are still accomplished by hand. You'll see
workers bend, trim, shape, and finish the different woods that go into the guitar.
A company representative will guide you through your tour, as you watch the
parts come together into a magnificent instrument. At the end of your tour,
you can view a collection of vintage Martin guitars at the Martin Museum, and
stock up on accessories or collectibles at the gift shop.
