Featured Tour #2 - HERSHEY'S CHOCOLATE WORLD®
HERSHEY'S CHOCOLATE WORLD® is the most-often visited corporate visitors
center in the country - and no wonder! HERSHEY® leads the U.S. in chocolate
production, and the town of Hershey is well known as "Chocolatetown USA."
Where else can you find an entire town where the aroma of chocolate lingers
in the air, and the street lights are shaped like HERSHEY'S KISSES®?
Over 50 million people have visited Chocolate World since it opened 30 years
ago. The highlight of the tour is a 15-minute amusement park-style ride where
riders travel through the journey taken by a cacao bean on its way to becoming
HERSHEY® 'S chocolate! Along the way, you'll meet one of the cows who provide
Hershey with more than 235,000 gallons of milk everyday, and see the production
process that results in over 70 million HERSHEY'S KISSES® per day!
After your ride, you'll find a glimpse into HERSHEY® 'S past and present
in the gallery of old-time and current advertisements - and of course, your
tour ends with a free sample! You'll also want to spend some time browsing through
the gigantic factory store.
But nostalgia isn't the only thing on the agenda at Chocolate World. There's
plenty to look forward to in the future, as well, since HERSHEY® will unveil
an expanded and technologically thrilling Chocolate World experience in the
spring of 2002!
